We’re a family-friendly club and many of us were on the water before we could walk. We accept members of ALL ages – young and old! Skiers who are under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or designated adult at all times.
We practice at a private residence located in the Melrose, Florida area.
We practice as a team on a weekly basis (typically every Sunday afternoon) throughout the season (typically March – October)
We like to say “What you put in is what you’ll get out”…. While we are here to have fun, we are also constantly preparing for our shows, which can be dangerous without the right amount of practice and teamwork. While we understand that everyone won’t be able to make every practice, attendance and skill/safety levels have influence over what members will ski in our public show performances.
Every act is different, and every skier learns at different rates. Attendance and skill/safety levels have influence over which members will ski in our public show performances. Other factors include whether multi-skier acts have an open spot. We do our best to include every capable skier in our shows once they reach a level of competence that’s safe for them and the rest of the team in a show environment. We love showcasing our new skiers whenever it’s safe to include them in our shows.
Every member (or supporting family member who wishes to have access to the dock) must maintain a current active USA Waterski membership. (It’s very important that you speak with us before registering if you are new to the USA Waterski membership options to ensure you select the proper membership) Those memberships start at $60 annually and vary based on age/involvement. In addition, there are minimal team dues and gas payments that cover our equipment and practice expenses. Any travel or lodging expenses associated with our travel shows are the responsibility of the skier.
We have a trailer full of equipment for all size and skill levels. Girls will need to obtain their own flotation, depending on the act they are performing in, prior to participating in a show.
We understand that a USA Membership, SafeSport and the time required to participate is a big commitment. If you’d like to come check us out before taking those steps, please complete our Interest Form and someone will reach out with information regarding how you can attend a practice before you make a final decision.
